Are you switching your AutoCAD to an AEC Collection for €230.00?
That sounds almost too good to be true, right? But there are certainly situations where this is possible! Below I explain how to switch to an AEC Collection, what the costs are, and under what conditions.
Sample situation
Suppose you purchased an AutoCAD Toolsets subscription in February 2024 for the normal price of €1,935.00 per year. Now it turns out that you also have to work with Revit and Navisworks. During the term of your AutoCAD Toolsets subscription, you can switch to an AEC Collection. The cost for this is calculated based on the number of months remaining until the end date of your current AutoCAD subscription.
Costing
- Residual period calculation:
- Purchase date AutoCAD Toolsets: Feb. 17, 2024
- Transfer date to AEC Collection: July 18, 2024
- Remaining period until Feb. 17, 2025: 7 months
- Price per month:
- Annual price AEC Collection: € 1,380.00
- Monthly price: €1,380.00 / 12 = €115.00
- Total cost of switching:
- 7 months x € 115.00 = € 805.00
Shorter duration
So if your contract is only 3 months away, you will pay:
- 2 months x € 115.00 = € 230.00
This also applies if you want to upgrade from other products such as Civil 3D, Navisworks Manage, Advance Steel or Robot Structural Analysis Professional.
PD&M Collection
Want to switch to a PD&M Collection? Then count on a monthly fee of €92.92. This is possible from AutoCAD Toolsets, Inventor Professional and Navisworks Manage subscriptions, for example.
Important Conditions
- This switching option does not apply to all subscriptions.
- If you have switched from a purchase license to a subscription at the annual maintenance price in the past, you are not eligible for this arrangement.
